Flowers for a Precious Preteen Girl

When you’re a floral designer, you spend a lot of time trying to tailor arrangements to the special requests of clients. I thrive on details and really enjoy learning the likes and dislikes of a client and then incorporating elements they will appreciate into the design.

Then, every once in a while, you get a client that just says, “I trust you. Do whatever you want.” What a dream! These are the times you can freely express yourself with no boundaries. That is what happened when a sweet dad called to order flowers for his preteen daughter, Tillie.

We ordered a terry cosmetics bag from Pottery Barn and had it monogrammed in lavender. We filled it with white hydrangeas, ‘Blue Bird’ roses, purple tulips and lavender bouvardia. What a great dad!

Note: Line bag with plastic wrap and place a vase or  jar of floral preservative inside. Arrange flowers in vase…simple!
