Ever thought of renewing your vows in front of friends and family to celebrate an anniversary? I was honored when this couple asked for help decorating for a sweet celebration honoring their anniversary. We used their original color palette and they even had a cake made incorporating their original cake topper.
The small informal service was held in the couple’s backyard which overlooks a private lake. As the guests rounded the corner into the backyard, they caught a glimpse of the couple’s freshly painted gazebo.
I loved that the couple held their vow renewal at their home and had their two teenaged daughters stand with them during the ceremony. Isn’t that what most of us dream about on our wedding day? A home and a family…still strong after many years of marriage…
Simple arrangements of hydrangeas, rice flower, freesia and ‘Sterling’ roses in square glass vases graced the gazebo alongside candles nestled in sand.
Floating candles and rose petals lined the floor of the gazebo. The simplicity of the evening kept the focus on the romance of the occasion and the importance of relationships…with family and friends.
Have you had a special ceremony to celebrate an anniversary or renewed your wedding vows? I’d love to hear about it!
Hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for another great week of sharing flowers and thoughts…
