Today’s color inspiration comes from my greatest Christmas gift…a”first” at our house. Our oldest son can drive now and he took his younger brother on a shopping trip for my Christmas gift without my knowledge…and they spent their OWN money to buy my gift…and here’s the best part…they wrapped the gift and put it under the tree using what ribbon they could find in my flower studio stash. Imagine my surprise when I saw this under the tree…

…can you believe two boys wrapped that?! They know me so well…the box was filled with chocolates and a Starbucks gift card!
So, drawing inspiration from their impressive (for two teen/preteen boys) wrapping job, let’s look at some blue and pink today…

Love your inspiration :) I can't wait to get gifts from my kids ;) Mostly because I can't to see what they'll think up, haha
Hope you had an amazing Christmas!
How sweet are they?! So adorable.
Your boys are amazing!! The fact the wrapping was done by teen boys and being so neat IS impressive, they clearly got good taste and an eye for nice things like their mom!!
I love blue and pink! Does the second to last image have black currant berries in it?
Jill,
I think the berries you're asking about are viburnum berries. Thanks for commenting! Couldn't find your email so hope you see this...btw, I'm a dental hygienist/floral designer, too!
Take care,
Amy
Thanks! That's crazy that you're a dental hygienist too! I thought they were viburnum berries but didn't know if they came in that color. Thanks again for your wonderful posts!
What sweet boys. You are a lucky momma. I love this color combination. I will never forget when I was describing one of our weddings to my sister and I was talking about all the pinks and blues and she was like, "um..wasn't that 1980's all the way?". No...not 1980's pink and blues, twenty first century pink and blues! She was having a hard time getting past her mental picture of bubble gum carnations, babies breath and teal ribbon! It's different! I loved that wedding and that combo.
