Sweet Peas

I stepped out in the garden this weekend and my heart raced at the sight of the first sweet pea seedling making its way along the ground. You know what that means…we’re going to enjoy some sweet peas today!

Do you prefer sweet peas used alone or mixed with other blooms? I usually prefer them alone, but it can take 75+ stems to make a decent sized bouquet of sweet peas. If you don’t have that many, they add movement and femininity to a mixed bouquet beautifully. Either way, you get to experience their sweet fragrance!

Hope every one keeps warm this week! The arctic blast began blowing in here this morning around 4:00 am. I’m not ready for more cold weather…I’m ready for sweet peas and flip flops!

I do like sweet pea mixed with other flowers a tiny bit more than on their own. How much do sweet pea cost when they are in season in the States? They are really quite expensive here and they don't last that long..

I love them on their own. Perfect for a bedside table! I dream of making an all white sweet pea bouquet with lady slipper orchids. *swoon*
