Working Designer Wednesday: Packaging And Labeling Personal Flowers For Delivery

Last week one of my favorite bloggers gave me an assignment. Erin at Floret Flower Farm asked if I would put together a post showcasing some packaging ideas for bouquet deliveries. I hope you all will leave comments today and share some of your ideas with Erin, as well. And, if you don’t already know about Floret, you really must visit Erin’s website and blog. You’ll be amazed by her flowers and addicted to her daily dose of beauty. Really…her flowers and her life on the flower farm with her beautiful children and super supportive husband will touch you…deep down in your soul.

So, for you Erin…hope you find some inspiration here…

I don’t have enough room left in this post to address transport ideas. Guess we’ll have to revisit this subject in the future. In the meantime, go here and here and here and here for more ideas and inspiration.

Happy Wednesday!

Wonderful to see all the ideas, and revisit the previous posts about the same subject. It reminds me that we are all very different in style and presentation, but all the same in that we want our passionate work shown off at its best. For the bride and her wedding party to swoon at the sight of our flowers on that special day is the best feeling!
One thing I always promote is the fact that the decorated vases they are delivered in can be used at the head table, and that goes over very well with my customers. That way there won't be those gorgeous flowers laying about with no water.

So honored to make it on your blog two days in a row—thank you for including my tags. I have to say the box from The Monkey Flower Group is my absolute favorite. I love the burlap mesh cushion. Well done!

Amy, As you mentioned transporting the flowers is the biggest challenge. We transport our bouquets in boxes with tons of color-coordinated tissue paper. We put a "pillow" of tissue paper under the neck of each bouquet and arrange them so that the stems are lower than the blooms. That works very well. It does remind me of a coffin though when the box is narrow and deep. LOL
